If anybody knows of any hot jobs where volunteering at this project is a hiring bonus point, this would be a good time to hear about it.
I've got five weeks of guaranteed income left before I'm unemployed. I don't know where to go from here. The only marketable skill I have is a class A CDL and nine years of regional OTR experience, but I have remained at this company for as long as I have because it was a really exceptional job for someone with a family. I never looked elsewhere, because this industry and family do not go hand in hand. I can find a job tomorrow, and I will talk to y'all in March when I get home again. I don't want to do that, and I'm not going to do that. I have five weeks to figure out how to break into a new career and find a new job where I work no more than 50 hours a week, preferably only 40, and earn as close as possible to $650 USD per week. I am open to any and all suggestions, and especially offers of employment I can accept without having to relocate from Christiansburg, Virginia. I've worked with Chris in England, Guillaume in France, and Pedro in Spain for years, and I *could* realistically telecommute with the right opportunity. I have the discipline to get the work done, and I don't need face to face contact with people to get things done. If nothing else, I could use real help putting a resume together. I haven't done a resume since Word Perfect 5.1 was king, and don't know anything about how they're done these days. -- D.
