The original timing that was suggested (by you, I think) was to make it 
before the next Ubuntu freeze, which you said you thought was on 
February the 8th.  So I've had "some time before February the 8th" 
vaguely in mind since you said that.

However, I don't care a great deal, and I don't know where Ubuntu get 
their Rosegarden package from.  If they use the standard Debian one, 
then it's already frozen for Etch anyway.  If they don't, then someone 
unknown to us would presumably have to be awake and alert in between 
the time we make the release and the Ubuntu deadline, and I don't know 
how sure we could be of that happening.  Either way I don't think it's 
worth stressing over.

On the other hand I do think we're in a position where nothing much 
further will happen until we've done this release, so I think we should 
aim to do it as soon as possible.  If I said "let's release it next 
Monday", would that give anyone palpitations?
