Yesterday I've tested Rosegarden. Actually, two of my brothers (who have no musical background at all) tested it.
Preparation was my job; I've set jack running, loaded soundfont and similar tasks. The test was simple: Make anything listenable with rg. Easy... I must say congratulations! They did it. Few bars at least. They figured out how to prepare track for particular instrument, made it play exact instrument they wanted etc. They even figured out how to use matrix editor. :) Two notices I've seen as problem. They kept clicking and dragging at playback pointer in order to move it and they were surprised to see twenty something instances of Tempo and Time Signature dialogs opened (when I showed them cluttered taskbar - btw, I have group similar task option enabled in KDE). Vlada P.S. I'm preparing Oxygen-like icon set for rosegarden studio window. We must be prepared to upcoming KDE4. ;) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
