When moving or copying in the notation editor, I put sometimes two notes exactly at the same place. In such case, only one note is visible, but this note is played louder than the others and some unexpected things happen when I try to modify it. It's not a really serious issue, nevertheless it would be fine to see such duplicate notes immediately.
The attached patch should do the trick in notation and matrix editors. In matrix editors, overlapping notes are shown with a black colour. In Notation editor, where almost all notes are black, I tried some other colours but can't find one I really like. Currently, the patch use a kind of magenta whose single quality is to be very different of other colours notes may have in notation editor. But there is no intuitive relation between this colour and a hide note. I prefer a second way : the note keeps its colour, but its head is hilighted with an orange halo (surely orange is not the better colour, but it's the first I found which is neither too dark nor too light). This hilighting style is selectable from RG configuration dialog. I wondered if other users have similar problems with overlapping notes. I only can say that some hide notes may be found in RG exemples : - Children : track 1, bar 51 - Ravel-pc-gmaj-adagio : track1, bar 8 - Vivaldi-cs3mv2 : track1, bar 90 - Let-all-mortal-flesh : all along the track 2 (There is also an overlap in The-rose-garden, track2, bar 15. But this one, which is visible in notation editor but not in matrix, seems to me a bit strange...). Yves
