Other oddness, the lilypond-print-preview script (or whatever it's real
name
is) no longer provides a status dialog to inform me that it's doing
something. There is simply a pregnant pause, and then the preview comes
up
in KGhostView. Maybe I'm missing some helper app, and it simply fails to
complain. I misremember how that works.

Seems like Xdialog is missing. Try
apt-get install xdialog
and then
rosegarden-lilypondview -g file.ly
The missing dependency seems to be a bug in detecting the required
dependencies. What do others think?
