Reminds me, did we every come up for anything on how our stems want to differ 
from LilyPond's, and sometimes the only way to get an accurate rendition in 
LilyPond is to go flip some stems manually, to override the computed 
properties that go the wrong way?  (That was a ridiculously long and poorly 
phrased question.)
