Of course I tried to click it. People like me are just like Pavlov's dog and
click all links that come across. If there is an opportunity not to confuse
user, why not to use it? When in doubt, leave it out. In general, it would
be nice to make that link work.

Seems like a reasonable solution for once and for all. The link above should
then have instructions like :

  modprobe snd-rtctimer
  rosegarden

or do

  sudo sh -c "echo snd-rtctimer >> /etc/modules"

and boot after that.

These kind of instructions should be added once they have been checked.

I have 2.6.20, but unfortunately only alsa 1.0.13 (version of alsactl in
Ubuntu Feisty). Ubuntu Gutsy has alsa 1.0.14.1 and I will upgrade to it
after it has been released---this means in two weeks.
