This one turns out to be plenty problematical, and it's used in hundreds of places, so it has a sweeping impact.
It starts with: src/gui/kdeext/RGLed.cpp:143:27: error: kpixmapeffect.h: No such file or directory KPixmapEffect is gone, and you're supposed to use [complicated breadcrumb trail] to create the same kind of functionality. It looks like this is a good case for cutting out KDE entirely, and going with a QT solution. Rewrite the widget as a local Rosegarden widget in QT? Any thoughts from Chris in particular on this? I feel this is in the "later" category, but it's going to have to be dealt with, so let's think about a plan. I'm not the best to try to do anything about this, as I know absolutely diddly about graphics programming in any remotely modern language. It feels like an interesting project, but too much to bite off if I want to use what I can to to get the most tangible results in the least time. So I'm going to move along and go back to skeet shooting. I'm making some good progress getting random files to build by doing small cleanups. -- D.
