I can't tell you off the top of my head why it's not being created
when it's expected, but I can tell you what it is. This file is one
of the memory-mapped files used for communication between sequencer
and GUI process. This particular one is created by the GUI and used
subsequently by both sequencer and GUI, and the message you see comes
from the sequencer when it finds that the file has not (yet) been
created.

This message quite often appears on startup from 1.6/1.7 versions, if
the sequencer gets to the point of looking for the file before the GUI
has created it -- the sequencer then pauses and looks again until the
file eventually turns up.

If it's coming from the qt4 port, I have no ready explanation --
perhaps the code is not happening in the right order -- but it's
something I suggest not worrying about yet. Ultimately none of these
files should be necessary in the qt4 version as we don't need explicit
memory mapping to communicate between sequencer and GUI, since they're
both in the same process now. However, that change is another one
that I don't want to make without being able to test the results.

Note that the names of the mmapped files are the same currently in qt4
as they are in trunk, which means that if you run qt4 and trunk builds
at once, they will trample over one another's files. Again, this will
change (in fact it should be possible to run the qt4 build as many
times at once as you wish, which was not possible in trunk for this
among other reasons).
