I have just finished creating the template translation file
locale/rosegarden.ts.
Now all the necessary translation strings are included.
With QT4 there needs to be also locale/en_US.ts for a proper plural
handling.
There are 15 plural strings in locale/en_US.ts.
Seems like we have now 2794 translation strings instead of 1878.
Most of the new strings are either
(a) duplicates of strings which have now been placed in different contexts,
or
(b) default strings like "&File" which we used to pull from KDE i18n.
What do you think about the increased number of translation strings?
Should we
(A) try to put duplicate strings in the same context,
and/or
(B) fetch "&File" from some default translations as previously?
Or,
(C) keep all new translation strings and new contexts?
When processing the translations with "linguist locale/${LOCALE}.ts",
it is necessary to translate the duplicate strings only once. When
translating
the second time the same string "linguist" can suggest the matching
translation.
p.s.
I have sent to patches which were over 500 kB. I have canceled their
posting, please do not mind.
