For my part I would be very, very, very, very keen to avoid adding any more start-up dialogs. We already have far too many. The right number of dialogs for a program to show on startup is zero. Let's try to make the default behaviour sensible, and try to make it more obvious in the user interface how to change it if it isn't what you want. That's what we need to do in any case, I think.
