Hey devs,
I started using the hpet timer (alsa 1.0.19, module snd-hrtimer, kernel
2.6.29-rt1). According to /proc/asound/seq/timer, it's in use after I start
jackd with the -Xseq option:
$ cat /proc/asound/seq/timer
Timer for queue 0 : HR timer
Period time : 0.001000000
Skew : 65536 / 65536
However, when I select the HR timer in rosegarden 1.7.3 under the MIDI setting,
I get a complete freeze of my DAW, I have to hard-reboot. There's no way I can
recover from it otherwise, it is completely insensitive to everything, even the
magic sysrq sequences.
Is it possible at all to use the high res timer with RG ? Could be this
question was already asked, sorry for the redundancy if that's the case.
