It might be possible to do something like this in the future, but it's nowhere
close to possible now.

THAT we do have. The user interface is not very intuitive or friendly at all,
but I just tested it in Thorn, and it does work.

1. Assign a track to "Synth Plugin #1"
2. Hit the Plugin button
3. Pick Fluidsynth-DSSI
4. Hit the editor button
5. Load a soundfont
6. Go back to Rosegarden's dialog where you chose the plugin, and click the
   Copy button
7. Assign a track to "Synth Plugin #2"
8. Hit the Plugin button
9. Hit the Paste button

I only tested that once, but when I saved the result and looked at the raw
XML, it had worked correctly.

Probably a faster alternative here, even though it is more of a "back door"
way to work, it would be faster to edit the raw XML by hand and block copy the
text from here to there.

This whole problem of "copy my plugin to the next n tracks" could definitely
be easier to solve using the GUI. I'm afraid I don't even want to think about
how we might solve that at this point in time though. There are just so many
things to do right now.

Like start cooking dinner, which I simply MUST do.
