The biggest obstacle to putting out a release is somebody taking time to figure out exactly what happened, and making a release note. (And, well, testing, but let's not kid ourselves about that this time around. The due date is the 23rd, two days from now.) All that vignette stuff about Abraham Darby and Iron Bridge, and it being 10 years since the project was first opened on SourceForge too, if anyone can be bothered. We're not changing the splash screen, so all you have to do is scripts/make-release-tarball RELEASE or something quite to that effect, and it will take care of using the production splash screen instead of the development snapshot one. (Get the release note crap together, and I'll be happy to take a moment to roll out and release the tarball itself, for that matter. I just don't have time for the paperwork.) > I have managed to accomplish exactly none of the things I thought I > might be able to do for 10.04, but I see that some others are not as > useless as I am and there are a couple of really useful fixes in > there. They deserve special mention for not being useless too. Whoever they are, which is sad to admit, but I'm not sure. Thorsten and Yves come to mind. > Am I right in thinking there are no string changes since 10.02? If there are, they're trivial. -- D.
