Good call. There were thousands of "MTC quarter frame" messages. Turning off the MIDI sync stuff solved the problem for me, since I have no use for any of it anyway, and don't even know how to make use of it. This sounds like it's probably related to the issue Joseph P. Morris was chasing in the bug report with attached patch. Reminder to self to do something with that report and the patch! I should also try to discover how that config option got turned on. Is it the default? If I didn't change anything in my config (eg. revert to a factory config to turn that option back on) then this is probably a pretty serious regression somewhere. I'll at least ensure that the default is for this stuff to be turned off. -- D.
