I still intend to pursue teacher licensure in the long run, but I have just
gone back to work as a truck driver. I've been at the new job for a little
over a week now, and I'm writing this now because today was the day when
everything finally clicked, and I was sure it was all going to work out.

This is no cushy part time gig like the one I had for most of my time here at
Rosegarden. I'm driving a 22-wheeler now, pulling a pair of pup trailers
terminal to terminal on third shift, and I'm tied up from 5:00 PM until 7:00
AM for all intents and purposes. That's a huge hunk of time out of my day.

Everything looks a lot brighter for my personal finances, but my Rosegarden
time has effectively been reduced to something for me to piddle around with
while I'm having to stay up all night on the weekends to keep my sleep
schedule on track. There's just no chance I'm ever going to be back
maintaining the same kind of presence I used to around here.

People are going to have to take up the slack, or let the project languish.
Either way, it's pretty much out of my hands now. I did a lot with it back
when I had time to play around here, but my play time is gone now.
