Hi Michael, Thanks for the feedback, much interesting food for thought. I'll continue to mull it all over, experiment with a few different approaches, at least we have the fallback position of "if in doubt, do a deep copy first" approach in there at the moment and it's basically releasable like that if we don't manage to come up with anything better in the meantime. I'll have a look into that interesting behaviour you discovered of some segments lengthening themselves, but others not, when you add notes at the end of a longer linked segment. That wasn't intended behaviour so I'll have a look under the hood see what's going on there.
