And so I did.

Every time I do it this way, I feel better and better about just throwing it 
out there without any formal testing or fanfare.  Very little of real benefit 
comes from going through that whole laborious process, and it isn't much of a 
loss.

If bug reports come flooding in, we'll fix the big ones and turn around and 
release again.  It's no big deal.  It's not like we're going to tarnish our 
image as a cutting edge and highly relevant project that everyone in the world 
is following with great interest.
