I see Michael has already told you about core. Just to let you know, gdb is tricky to use with RG. Somehow with threads and frequent debug messages, we seem to confuse gdb. In my experience, it'll run fine until you stop at a breakpoint, then a thread about Jack will continue running and printing, confusing the debugger. That's why a lot of the team resorts to debug-print messages.
