I've been thinking about this too, Richard.

I'm going to skip getting into this just now, but I think we should put 
the code back together, support JACK MIDI, etc.  We're pretty much 
aiming in the same direction.

It even gives me a reason to get off the fence about buying a Windows 
machine.  My Android game is already working in Unreal Engine 4, but I 
can't deploy the damn thing to Android from Linux.  Seriously?  Yes. 
Seriously.  So I either buy a new computer or I start over for the fifth 
time, and I am bored with learning engines and APIs that never work out. 
  My first game is going to flop anyway.  I need to start iterating and 
improving, and stop dicking around with engines that never work.

It all ads up to this being a good time for Rosegarden on Windows to be 
a real thing.

We'll have to hash it out soon, but not just now.
