Steps to recreate ... Main interface: 1) File -> New 2) Create segments, spanning at least measures 1 and 2, on both tracks 1 and 2 3) Edit -> Select All Segments 4) Open In Matrix Editor (M) Matrix Editor: 1) Track 1 is active (or make active using lower left scroll wheel) 2) Create notes in measure 1 (of track 1) 3) Use scroll wheel to activate track 2. Track 1's notes turn gray 4) Create notes in measure 2 (of track 2). Track 2's notes have velocity color, track 1's notes are still gray. 5) View -> Show note names. All notes in both measures/tracks have velocity color, but only the active segment's notes should (all others should be gray). 6) Use lower left scroll wheel to activate track 1. Track 1's notes have velocity color, track 2's notes are gray. Same problem when turning note names off, or when switching between "Highlight black notes" and "Highlight triads".

Should I file a bug report on this? In general should I just go ahead and file a report for any bug I find (or think I've found).

Due to the intersection between this and what I'm working on, how should we proceed? 1) You take this bug and fix it when you have time/priority to do so. I wait for your changes, but it's a minor problem so that could take a while. 2) I proceed with my development and potentially face a difficult merge with my new code if you finish before I do, or vice versa. 3) I take the bug, attempt to fix it, and if successful submit a merge request for just those changes. Then proceed with my feature request #500 development. 4) I take the bug and fix it during the course of the #500 development. 5) Something different I haven't thought of. Thanks for any direction you can provide regarding this.
First file the bug report.
