I found the relevant parts in the code, the changes appear pretty simple indeed, though it didn't work by just connecting to slotToggleSolo(bool)
I had to define a slotToggleSoloCurrentTrack() in RosegardenMainWindow without any parameters to get it called. I'll test it for a while and submit a patch if it works fine.
