Greetings all, I resubscribed to the devel list, and I'm poking my head back in, because I finally have a 4k monitor attached to a Linux box. This was something I always intended to look at, and it just took quite a few years before I ended up with a Linux box attached to a 4k monitor.
I no longer have any development code, so I'm just looking at the distro version that came with Kubuntu 22.04 at the moment. The user interface is basically plausible. The icons for this and that don't look great, but I have no sense of urgency about redoing them in higher resolution versions. The only major problem I see is that the notation editor is almost comically far out of whack. I can't say I'm surprised. I always had a suspicion that the weird little half pixel scaling errors would bite us in the ass at higher resolutions. Is there any interest in having me poke around to see if I can do anything? If so, I'll have to begin at the beginning as a newbie developer. I used to have kind of a big ego and a sense of my own importance, but life has hobbled my narcissism. I'm just some fat guy with a dusty book on the shelf now. I don't even call myself D. Michael McIntyre anymore. I'm just David now. David the fat guy with the pretty dogs. I still vaguely remember how the notation editor used to work though. Maybe I could make some progress with this, if there's any interest.
