yes, I had the issue some time ago. It was when I was using some old version
of 64studio, and compiled Rosegarden (and other audio apps) to run new
software.
Then Rosegarden on exiting made JACK crash frequently, but not every time.
Some time ago I switched to Ubunto Studio (9 or 10, don't recall now), and
the problem did not appear any more; I still compile audio apps from
sources, including newest RG, but on exiting I get only an xrun (always, but
no crash).
So the problem was quite strange, and I guess hard to reproduce.
Any way I'm happy I got rid of it :)
