As an articulation, no, I don't believe it gets exported. What I do
for a fermata is open the piano roll and stretch the notes to twice
their length (and maybe add some automation on CC11, to have the note
subtly swell up and then fade down), and then it will be in the
exported MIDI file. Unfortunately, it will mess up your notation, if
you are using Rosegarden for notation.
