Simply route the output of your synth to an audio input of Rosegarden
and record it. Then, if you are using a MIDI track to drive the synth,
you can mute it, because you now have the audio.  I tend to hang on to
the MIDI tracks though in case in I decide I need to make some changes,
or go with a different sound.
