You were right that it was user error. I just checked the Composition menu
and saw that the default end was set to, you guessed it, 100! Rosegarden
has been nothing but a help to me and I am glad to admit that it was I who
erred and not the astounding piece of Free software that is truly
underrated. I thank you for meticulously checking and re-checking for
something that was my fault all along.
