Any help? I cant figure out what could be wrong but the n-ending

The traditional way to get repeats on a page with Rosegarden is to mark the segments as repeating. You discovered this.

The n-ending tutorial describes a new, non-traditional way to get repeats on a page along with alternate endings, and it is a totally different, special mechanism.

The tutorial did not work for you, because you skipped some important steps!

   1. New rosegardenfile
   2. Add one single bar with no content.
   3. copy it with mouse while holding ctrl+alt (the two instances are
colored with the pattern)

Here you jumped directly to pressing print. It won't work yet. There are no endings.

   4. separate the two segments by at least one bar
   5. draw a segment in between these (this is the first ending)

If you want to repeat the first ending and make it the 1-2 ending, copy this entire pattern again.

   6. draw a separate segment at the end (this should not be linked;
      it is the final ending)

NOTE: I tested some different scenarios, and you can create compositions with endings 1-n and a different ending at n+1 but you can't create compositions with endings 1-2, 3-4, and 5, for example. The code isn't robust enough to handle that, and crashes. I'll file a bug report directly.

I constructed an example with endings 1-3 and final ending 4. I've attached a small screen capture, but I'll send you the .rg file privately, as our list only allows tiny attachments.
