Strange behavior like this feels like you need to do a full rebuild.
Delete your build directory, make a new one, run cmake again and try a
fresh build. I've been having weird problems a lot lately. Not sure
what they changed in the compiler and/or linker.
Let us know if that doesn't solve it.
