Hello Marcus, all I got is the basic spec from the link:
http://www.cartotype.com/cartotype_map_data_format_type_1.html OK, it just defines primitives, but they could match to OSM. For the routing data, I propose to add node/link-info like AND does is with shape. Apart from this, OSM-Data can be directly mapped to the CTM1-Format as a point is a point or a way is a polygon. The rest is to find a way to use the primitives to store attributes and relations. The format seems to be more flexible than shape and there are no seperated format specs like .shp and .dbx in shape.
