I second that! This behavior is a real nuisance for us running 30+
virtual servers. Adding a new DB is a real pain.
I suppose you are talking about Roxen 5.0.169-cvs? I haven't installed
a 5ish build yet, but thought the DB Admin-Interface had be overhauled?
Yes it has, but not this option.
Although I've found that inside a virtual server in the sql tags module,
you also have to add the database
to the set "allowed databases" for virtual server being able to query a
database.
Although I see this option makes the default setting to R not perse
insecure, IMHO this is an abundance to just defaulting to "N" in the DB
Admin-Interface. I can't think of any situation where I wanted to set
the database
to "R" or "W" and want the virtual server not to be able to do any queries.
