Hello,

I am trying to get the network working under Linux and am failing
miserably.

I have got Risc OS 3.70, and my Linux host is a 64 bit AMD.

I believe I have got everything installed correctly. If I double click
on !Boot, it acknowledges that I have got a RPCEm device, and allows me
to specify an IP address. However, ifconfig -a does not believe there
is a RPCEm device installed. If I double click on the EtherRPCEm
module, I get an error saying "No installed expansion card".

The Linux host looks to be set up correctly: tap0 is created with a
valid ip address.

I tried to track down the code, and it seems that the module is doing a
read from the Podule memory, which fails due to the fact that the host
networking code does not handle Podule memory reads.

Am I doing something hopelessly wrong? Or is there some valid objection
to my setup?

Thanks

James
