Blimey! As I said I was just wondering as the RiscPC could, in theory, take more (I remember having a chat with simtec and they had a 4MB VRAM card in prototype...) However it is a pertinent question if people want to use rpcemu in higher resolutions (which RISC OS does better than most other OSes) - 1280 x 1024 with a decent colour depth is only OK for a desktop machine... For me it isn't an issue as I use rpcemu on my Eee PC - I was hoping there would be some sort of panacea!
