Dhrystones may be a better measure of relative performance :-

The thought does occur that the time taken to compile dhrystones might
be an even better measure.

Dhrystones

Iyonix 850340

Laptop 2*2GHz 2GB
Vista VRPC 613120
Vista RPCemu 355871

MediaPC 2*1.6GHz 1GB
Vista RPCemu 296824
Ubuntu 8.04 RPCemu 309597

These are more optimistic readings that those BogoMips come up with.

On another speed related issue some of these posts are taking up to five
days to arrive here. Is anyone else seeing this?
