I have attached an updated version of Tom Walker's DynaRec for 64-bit
hosts. This includes changes which enable it to be used with the
latest version of RPCEmu Spoon Edition.
To try it out, unzip the attachment, and overwrite the existing
versions of codegen_amd64.c and codegen_amd64.h. Then rebuild the code
as usual.
I have rebuilt both Spoon 0.8.2 and SVN 160 versions, and both compile and
run.
Not a lot of testing done, but no real problems that appear to be a result
of the Dynarec code.
The reported Mips values seem to be a tad better, but not dramatic.
Everything does seem to have noticeably better response...much 'crisper',
a nice technical term that I'm sure everyone will be familar with :-)
I have noticed an oddity with Spoon 0.8.2 with the keyboard.
Lowercase is emitted as uppercase and vice versa. I am using a US-English
keyboard.
This problem does not occur with SVN 160 version, so there may be a clue
there.
Thanks for your efforts with the Dynarec code for 64-bit hosts. My last
experiences with this started and ended with 'segmentation fault', so your
update has fixed that.
Cheers,
