Thanks. Yes, that was it!  :-))

Having followed up what you said I now realise what the relevant lines in
the file mean. I'd previously just taken a 'blinkered' view of them wrt
getting rpcemu running in the first place.

BTW I've now written an article on rpcemu for Archive magazine that I hope
may encourage others to give it a try. Should appear in a few issues time
as they have a backlog of articles at present.
