Hi all,

As some of you already know, from what I indicated in the last meeting, we
are going to start a new initiative in order to improve the IPv6
availability in the region.

There is a mail exploder (afripv6-discuss) devoted to IPv6 topics, so we
will do this in that one.

If you're not yet subscribed, please follow this link to do so:
https://lists.afrinic.net/mailman/listinfo.cgi/afripv6-discuss

I suggest that at least one person from every ISP should be in that list, as
sooner or later, you will need to start deploying IPv6, and the sooner, the
better.

The idea of this initiative is that having 6to4 and Teredo relays in the ISP
networks, will help the transition to IPv6, with a very low cost for the
ISP, providing better service to the customers and actually reducing your
expensive transit cost by keeping more traffic in your local network by
means of the relays.

You can have a look to one of my last presentations on this topic "The cost
of NOT deploying IPv6"
C_5_the_cost_of_not_deploying_ipv6_v3.pdf).

I will start this thread at afripv6-discuss in a matter of hours, a couple
of days maximum.

Regards,
Jordi
