rpm-5.3.6 needs releasing, not hack-o-bouts.

Or perhaps Mandriva wishes to use unreleased buggy unstable code in Cooker?
That's news to me: words like "stable" and "small" and "rock-solid"
are continuously mentioned wrto RPM. But perhaps you ears need cleaning,
or you are hearing something else.

Rip it out please.
