You can probably make it so that rpm 4.4.2.3 and rpm 4.14.1 is installed in 
parallel with some trickery. Then use rpm 4.4.2.3 to migrate rpm3 db to rpm4, 
then use rpm 4.14.1 to migrate you to the latest.
