Since rpm grew support for multithreaded xz decompression, package installation
is going to be IO bound on most modern machines _except_ when scriptlets are
run. (Three minute mandb runs, anyone?) I suspect that most of this will be
alleviated as distros continue to move as much as possible to per-transaction
file triggers. It would be interesting to investigate whether those could be
run in parallel. But of course that's a topic for a different ticket.
