I do not think this trivial accessor is going to be a maintenance burden of 
any kind, so I do not see a good reason not to carry this patch.

Judging from my experience with how Chromium development works, I doubt they 
will ever change their code to work the way the FFmpeg developers want, they 
will just stop supporting unbundling FFmpeg altogether.
