Feel free to submit and maintain. Either as a separate vlc-freeworld or with vlc-plugin-freeworld. That said I would not recommend that since x264/x265 (most Linux users should use ffmpeg) are mostly encoders and restoring vaapi hw isn't worth the effort IMO.
