Hi, Reviewing again the packages kffmpegthumbnailer, ffmpegthumbnailer, and ffmpegthumbs, I used to maintain these three packages together with the KDE packages that were in rpmfusion (kdenlive, k3b-extras-freeworld, kwave) for some time before 2020.
Now I see and admit that I got confused between ffmpegthumbnailer and kffmpegthumbnailer. I realize now that they were sources of the same project, but kffmpegthumbnailer used version 1.x.x for KDE4, while ffmpegthumbnailer 2.x.x was for more modern versions. In 2020, the kffmpegthumbnailer package switched its source to version 2.x.x, making it a duplicate, so kffmpegthumbnailer can be removed from RPMFusion, even in the EL releases. The packages ffmpegthumbnailer and ffmpegthumbs were moved to Fedora. In summary, I propose to remove kffmpegthumbnailer from all branches, and also remove ffmpegthumbs from EL9 because a version already exists in EPEL. For ffmpegthumbnailer, since the EL8 branch already exists, we can create an EL9 branch with the latest version (2.2.3), as in Fedora it currently exists only in EPEL10.
