I can play it in mplayer, but that doesn't help much.

I also have gstreamer-ffmpeg, gstreamer-ffmpeg-0.10.5-1.fc10.i386.

Did you try to install gstreamer-plugins-bad and gstreamer-plugins-ugly? 
Also mind that some newer WMA versions are still unsupported AFAIK.
