Isn't that the old livna repository with the libdecss for de-scrambling the DVD video content?

        Hi,

I read on a forum that I had to install the "tainted"
        repository.  The
        documentation of the rpmfusion-free-release-tainted package
        does not say
anything about what the repository is. The rpmfusion website
        doesn't
        even mention this repository.

There is a free and non-free repository. I'm not sure what is
meant by "tainted" unless they were referring to a kernel module
package that taints the kernel, but you didn't mention any
specific hardware you're trying to get working.

    Thanks,
    Richard

Yes. The free-tainted repo does in fact contain the one package from Livna that no one dared "fuse" into the RPMfusion project. Which is: libdvdcss (or is it libdvdcss2?). That allows the playback of studio-issued DVDs on Linux systems.
