Not really.

The only trick is installing Numeric on Python 2.5 on Windows as they 
don't provide an installer.  Its one way to encourage people to move to 
NumPy ;)

BioPython is another project still using Numeric, and they built their 
own Numeric Windows installer for Python 2.3, you can download it here:
