Hi, I have made the first alpha release of L3, a Python-like language and its worksheet interface, available at http://l3lang.sourceforge.net.
The RPy demo from http://rpy.sourceforge.net/rpy_demo.html was most useful in some of the design, and I have made minor simplifications for use inside the graphical worksheet; my reduced version is at http://l3lang.sourceforge.net/rpydemo.html. Some of you may be interested in the worksheet interface or the persistence features for your own work, and I am happy to answer questions or add generally useful features.
