Hi, If the user-base for rpy wishes a better coverage of rpy-1.x functionalities in rpy2, contributions are welcome.
No knowledge of the C-level interface for Python and R is necessary, and everything can be implemented with rpy2.rinterface. In the absence of contributions, rpy_classic will likely not change much for the release of 2.1 (now getting only several months away).
