Hi, I had a quick look at performances when working in R from rpy2.
The rpy2.robjects layer is predictably slower (hoewever a bit slower than R than I wished), while the rpy2.rinterface lower-level interface is faster. Working with it is *faster than working from R* (about 7 times on the simple/simplistic benchmark, and up to 14 times when using psyco). There is a note about that in the doc for the dev version, but most of it should apply to the released 2.0.x branch. http://rpy.sourceforge.net/rpy2/doc-dev/html/performances.html#performances L. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
