Regarding code stability, for feature already present in 2.1.x I'd say that it is already faring better than it (loopholes in internal object management were corrected through a redesign/rewrite of the code concerned). Regarding API stability, this is still alpha so things could still change with relatively short notice. I'd be happy to hear about the features that got your interest (off-list if you prefer it).
